UNPR-RSE supports initiatives that connect Romania to Europe.

Water Power Energy

On April 29, 2025, the event „Black Sea Corridors – Water Power Energy”took place in the Port of Constanța — a platform for dialogue and collaboration among authorities, private companies, and organizations involved in the sustainable development of infrastructure and energy in the Black Sea region.

The event brought together top representatives from public administration, transport, energy, foreign affairs, and the private sector — with UNPR-RSE’s partners, Water Power Energy, playing an active role in this strategic meeting.

The Black Sea – Europe’s Eastern Gateway

The discussions during the conference focused on an ambitious yet realistic goal: transforming Romania into a strategic hub within Europe’s transport, trade, and energy network, with the Port of Constanța serving as a key connection point between East and West.

Topics covered included:

  • Leveraging Romania’s geographical position to support Pan-European transport corridors
  • Developing public–private partnerships for sustainable infrastructure
  • Renewable energy and regional energy independence
  • Digitalization and streamlining of logistics and customs processes

Why is this initiative important?

Amid the current geopolitical context and the reshaping of transport and energy routes across Europe, the Black Sea region is gaining increasing strategic significance. Romania is not only well positioned geographically but also equipped — through local expertise and openness to collaboration — to become a major regional player.
