Uniunea Națională a Patronatului Român – Regiunea Sud-Est a organizat la Constanța, în data de 29 iunie 2024, un eveniment marcant pentru mediul de afaceri. Agenda evenimentului a conținut următoarele repere de interes major:
- Celebrating One Year Since the Establishment of the National Union of Romanian Employers – South-East Region
- Signing a Cooperation Protocol with the Union of Entrepreneurs of Small, Medium, and Privatized Enterprises of Ukraine, represented by First Vice President and General Director Vyacheslav Bykovets.
- Launching "Ambasada" – A Platform Dedicated to the Development of SMEs and Startups, aimed at providing the resources and expertise necessary to transform ideas into successful businesses
It was mentioned that the economic results of Constanța Port in the past year have been exceptional, precisely due to the collaboration with Ukrainian partners.
In 2023, the total cargo traffic in Romanian maritime ports was 92.5 million tons, representing a 22.5% increase compared to 2022. Out of this amount, Ukrainian goods accounted for 25 million tons (27%), of which over 14 million tons were grains.
To support this growth, two support schemes were implemented for port operators: one with a budget of €22 million for investments in port superstructure and another with a budget of €142 million for loading, unloading, and storage of goods, with a submission deadline of July 9, 2024.
Additionally, the Government approved a memorandum for infrastructure investments worth approximately €1.1 billion, aimed at expanding storage and transfer capacity.

H.E. Mr. Ihor Prokopchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Romania:
"Last year, the Port of Constanța helped us tremendously in transporting grain—over 60% of our grain passed through Romania. Romania and Ukraine have worked together to fight global hunger. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
