A group of exceptional students from Mircea cel Bătrân National College in Constanța represented Romania at the prestigious International "Zhautykov" Olympiad in Astana, Kazakhstan, held between January 13-17, 2025. The event brought together approximately 700 students passionate about mathematics, physics, and computer science from 15 countries, providing them with the opportunity to compete at the highest level.

Remarkable performance in an elite competition

The students Ștefan Patrichi, George Mihai Tega, Mihai Toma Banciu, Atanasie-Teo Șuțu, Andrei-Patrick Cioranu, Alexandru Thury-Burileanu and Andrei Rareș Tănăsescu, alongside their guiding teachers Gabriela Constantinescu and Ilhan Nasurla, demonstrated excellence and passion for the exact sciences, achieving two bronze medals and an honorable ranking in the overall competition standings.

This result confirms the high level of preparation of CNMB students and the commitment of their teachers to supporting talented young individuals on their path to excellence.

The essential support of educational partners

The participation of the National College "Mircea cel Bătrân" Constanța team would not have been possible without the support of sponsors who invested in education and performance. Rompetrol was the main sponsor of the team, while UNPR-RSE, through its member company Midia International, contributed to financing the travel expenses of one of the participating students. Additionally, support was also provided by Sea Container Services, Mistral Tours Constanța, Rompetrol, Asociația Dark Knights, Gama Diamed SRL, and RAJA Constanța, demonstrating that community involvement can make a significant difference in supporting academic excellence.

Teodora Moraru, Vice President of UNPR-RSE and President of the Young Entrepreneurs Committee, a former student of the National College "Mircea cel Bătrân," emphasized the importance of supporting exceptional young talents:

"As a CNMB graduate, I am proud to contribute to supporting the current generation of students. Excellence and effort must be recognized and encouraged, and this competition has once again demonstrated that our young talents are prepared to face academic challenges on a global level."

Excellence, hard work, and international recognition

The success of CNMB students at the "Zhautykov" Olympiad reflects not only their exceptional talent but also the constant effort of their teachers and the support of educational partners. UNPR-RSE will continue to support initiatives that promote high-performance education and assist young individuals with the potential for excellence.

Congratulations to the students, teachers, and everyone involved in this remarkable success!
