The title is not only a form of recognition but also a tool for sustainable development, responsible tourism, and for strengthening the connections between local producers, schools, authorities, and visitors.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In <\/span><b>May 2025<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dobrogea took an important step in this journey. The region was officially represented by <\/span><b>Teodora Moraru <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span><b> Carmen Ispas, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vice Presidents of the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/unpr-rse.ro\/en\/\"><b>National Union of Romanian Employers \u2013 South-East Region (UNPR-RSE)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/igcat.org\/29th-platform-meeting-of-the-world-regions-of-gastronomy-successfully-held-in-sicily-region\/\"><b>29th Meeting of the World Platform of Gastronomy Regions<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">held in <\/span><b>Sicily \u2013 European Region of Gastronomy 2025<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The event brought together representatives from over 20 regions across Europe and other parts of the world.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For four days, the Dobrogea delegation experienced an intense exchange of ideas, best practices, and inspiring examples of how gastronomy can shape regional identity and development. The experience was complemented by a visit to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/corfilac-ragusa\/?originalSubdomain=it\"><b>CoRFiLaC<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where we witnessed how gastronomic education can be practically implemented in schools through hands-on activities with students. It\u2019s a model that could be successfully applied in Dobrogea, especially in rural areas.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final stop was at the <\/span><b>Modica Chocolate Consortium<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where we discovered how an artisanal recipe passed down through generations became a product with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status.
